The buildings of the stables, manor house and hay barn form a single large house, although are not all connected inside. In the 70s some extensions and constructions were made, to transform it into a restaurant (terraces, kitchen and dining room) called "Los Jabalíes" which was running for about 40 years.
Even today, almost 10 years after its closure, some tourists arrive from time to time who remember the place and are trying to find the restaurant. Many local people tell stories of the memories they have of Can Mas: communions, family meetings, etc. It has always been a place of joy, festivity and conviviality.
In 2012 it came into the hands of Fanny and Jordi, and since then they have been restoring the place with a lot of effort, hope and much love. They intend to recover the essence of this farmhouse, respecting the charm of the stone, the spirit of a past time and the structures that we discover as they move forward. Can Mas, a beautiful stone farmhouse. A place of peace, reunion, and life.
Location
Can Mas is located in the natural park of the Montnegre Corridor, Hortsavinyà. Surrounded by the forest and the mountain.
The situation of the house reminds us of an eagle's nest: we are like raised above a part of the valley. The feeling is of openness, at the same time that we are in the middle of the mountain and we have the forest in the back.
We face the sea, facing the sun. We guess a small piece of sea in the distance.
Can Mas belongs to the municipality of Tordera, but the fastest, most comfortable and recommended access is through Pineda de Mar, a town on the coast. We are 10 minutes from the town with paved road until the last 600m that are dirt.
We are halfway between the cities of Barcelona and Girona, with good communication by both bands, either by car or train. There is a car to enjoy freedom of movement.

The Rural House L’Hort de la Riera is located at the foot of Montserrat, among almond trees, holm oaks, and fragrances of aromatic plants. The olive oil savory or "Sajolida" in Catalan, reigns in the stream, which has its own ecosystem of life and nature.
La Masia is ideal to stay a few days and rest, relax, enjoy the area and its activities.
